Court Filings, E-Filings, Recordings, Document and Permit Retrievals

Court Filings, Documents Retrievals and E-Filing Rates:

  • E-Filing - $20.00 Flat Rate (+any applicable court/filing fees) - E-mail us your documents and we will e-file your documents for you and return your file stamped copies to you as soon as they become available.   (Available for both Santa Cruz and Monterey County Court Systems, Regular filing available for documents received before 3:30 pm, after that if needed same day it becomes a Rush)

  • Rush E-filing - $40.00 Flat Rate (+any applicable court/filing fees) - For E-filings that need to be completed within 2 hours or for all E-filings received after 3:30 pm that need to be filed same day.   "Rush" e-filings do not reduce the amount of time the court takes to process documents only the time frame Clutch Courier has to submit your documents for e-filing.

  • Regular Santa Cruz Filings and Document Retrievals (received before 1:30pm) - $25 (+ any applicable court/copy fees) - Paper copy filings and document retrievals (including Certified Copies) at the Santa Cruz County Courthouse at 701 Ocean St.  This is where Civil and Probate Filings are processed.   If you have a Family Law or Small Claims filing please select Watsonville Filing.

  • Rush Santa Cruz Filings and Document Retrievals (received after 1:30pm) - $50 (+ any applicable court/copy fees)

  • Regular Same-Day Watsonville Filings and Document Retrievals (received before 12:15pm) - $50 (+ any applicable court/copy fees) - Paper copy filings and document retrievals (including Certified Copies) at the Santa Cruz County Courthouse in Watsonville at 1 Second St.  This is where Family Law and Small Claims Filings are processed.   If you have a Civil or Probate filing please select Santa Cruz Filing.

  • Rush Same-Day Watsonville Filings and Document Retrievals (received before 1:30pm) - $75 (+ any applicable court/copy fees)

  • Regular Santa Cruz Court Document Recordings or Permit Retrievals (received before 1:30pm) - $25 (+any applicable court fees) - Documents Recorded at the Santa Cruz County Recorders Office or Permits Retrieved from the Public Works Department.  Recordings generally require an original document with “wet ink” signatures, or, certified copies by the approved issuing agency in lieu of originally signed documents. For Permit retrievals we just need to know how many permits we are to be picking up, and the transportation company named on the permit.   We can forward any fees for you at these offices, each permit is $16.00 court fees and recording fees vary based on recording requirements and your needs.  

  • Rush Santa Cruz Recordings and Permit Retrievals (received after 1:30pm) - $50 (+ any applicable court fees)

Our Professional Courier visit the Santa Cruz and Watsonville Courthouses and are familiar with the clerks, processes, and practices of the Santa Cruz court system as well as the other offices of the Santa Cruz County and City Offices.   

Clutch Courier is a certified fax filing agency with both courthouses, so you have three options when getting your documents to us.  You can email them to us at clutch@clutchcourier.com, we can pick them up from your home (or office) or you can mail them to us.  We have been fax filing for years and find this to be the most convenient for our customers.   Just email us your documents and we will file them then return your file stamped copy to you along with an additional invoice for any court fees we forwarded. If you have hard copies you want us to file just let us know once we have received your order.

As of August 30th 2015 efiling is mandatory for filers represented by attorneys.  If you are representing yourself any document can be paper filed or e-filed.   We offer solutions for both situations to fit your specific needs.
